Workers cleaning up the last of the contamination at Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Commerce City found a previously undiscovered patch of contaminated land last week.
The land does not pose a risk to the public, according to a news release from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Crews covered the contaminated area with 6 inches of clean soil.
Future contaminated soil will be trucked off-site to a disposal site as part of a waste-disposal management plan currently open for public review.
Anyone with questions about the arsenal cleanup project can call the site's community information line at 303-289-0136, or the Tri-County Heath Department's Rocky Mountain Arsenal Information Line at 303- 286-8032.

...a disposal site. Where???? Why bother doing the research and writing a comprehensive article when you can post the phone number and have the reader do their own research. RMN at it's best as usual.
