— Three people are dead after a two-car crash in Aurora.

The Colorado State Patrol said the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck lost control on a right hand curve on Colorado 83 during heavy rain on Sunday. The pickup veered into oncoming traffic on the road and was struck by a Chevrolet Blazer.

The driver of the Blazer died at the scene and his female passenger died later at the hospital. The male driver of the pickup also died at the hospital.

The patrol said the accident is under investigation. It's not known yet if alcohol, drugs or speed contributed to the crash.
