Larimer County's Del Rio Fire spread through the Carter Lake area after sparks from a tractor accidentally ignited grass.
The Berthoud Fire Department responded to the wildfire at 2:22 p.m. Friday near the intersection of County Road 8E and County Road 27E. Three to five houses were threatened by the blaze, but only grass, brush and a few isolated trees were burned. No one was injured.
At 7 p.m., a spokesman called the fire well-contained.
