Boulder police are investigating an assault and reported burglary that landed three people in the hospital with stab wounds.
Police were called at 3:11 a.m. today to Boulder Community Hospital, where two adult stabbing victims were being treated for serious, but not immediately life-threatening, injuries, according to police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley.
A third victim arrived later and reportedly was involved in the same incident. That person was treated and released.
Police learned the three victims had been at a party at a home in the 3000 block of Denton Street. When a neighbor — who didn't attend the party — returned home, he found his residence had been burglarized and believed some of the guests at the party next door were to blame, according to Huntley.
The neighbor confronted the partygoers, a fight broke out and three victims were stabbed, Huntley said.
