Should the Nuggets trade for Jason Kidd?
The Nuggets have expressed an interest in New Jersey Nets guard Jason Kidd, ESPN.com reported, citing a source. Kidd told ESPN.com his agent, Jeff Schwartz, has had talks with the Nets about dealing him by the Feb. 21 trade deadline.
Nuggets executive Mark Warkentien didn't return a message seeking comment.
Said coach George Karl: "I haven't had a conversation with Mark about (Kidd)."
It might be difficult for the Nuggets, well into the luxury tax, to take on Kidd. He's making $19.7 million this season and is due $21.4 million next season.
ESPN.com reported Dallas also has interest. Other possible teams in the mix are Cleveland and the Lakers.

What kind of stupid poll are you running here? Maybe some people would vote to trade anyone, including Camby, A.I. or Melo for Kidd!
Guess you don't want that kind of feedback, huh? Your polls are as bad as political polls - all set up to get the results you want.

Kidd is a great player but i don't feel that Camby, Melo or AI are expendible. Maybe if we could give up JR or AC. But we're already well into the luxury tax so I don't see him coming here. But then again, I didn't think there was anyway AI would come here either so I'll just sit and wait.

Trade Kenyon Martin (and possibly J.R. Smith OR Diawara) for Jason Kidd.
Move Carmelo Anthony to PF and start Linus Kleiza at SF. Once Nene returns, Melo would move back to SF and Nene would start at PF and Kleiza would be the 6th man.
This move would equal a championship...
Would the nets take back K-Mart? It's about equal value, K-mart's value is on the rise, he's healthy again and he's much younger than Kidd. It wouldn't be a bad deal for the Nets or Nuggets.

The Nuggets need to make this happen, and I say by trading straight up for AI. I do not question AI's effort, work ethic, willingness to win but he is not a team player, he is too playground and too one on one and he doesn't make his teammates better. The Superstars got theirs but they also made their teammates better. Everyone on the floor with AI just watches him dribble for 22 seconds and than forces up a shot.
Kidd would take the Nuggets to a new level by getting everyone involved. Than if they decide to play defense they could be the best in the west.
Probably wouldn't hurt to get rid of Karl, who looks disinterested at best and let AD, Adrian Dantley take over the team. He was awesome last year when he had the chance. THIS WOULD BE HUGE

Kidd doesn't score as much as Iverson very true, but those points will be made up for by Kidd creating and finding open teammates in areas they can be successful and the young kids will breakout. It's hard for Klieza and JR, etc to play well when they never know when they are going to get the ball, once every 9th possession. True Melo hogs the ball as well but he is young and can be taught, to pass more and rebound more. AI's "never say die attitude" is "hey, young guys, watch me dribble for the entire shot clock and force up a shot. If I make it great, if I don't, nobody is working with me" The Nuggets need a rhythm on offense and Kidd would provide that and get everyone involved. His passing would become contagious, just like Magic and Bird back in the day. When you get a chance to touch the ball on the offensive end once in awhile it will lead to you being more into the game and the entire team will play better defense. If you're about popularity contest and want to keep AI just because people follow the team more now than you probably don't care MLB players do steroids because the attendance is up. Kidd can bring the Nuggets to a championship level by sharing the ball, AI is a great one on one player and fills the seats but I believe it is not championship basketball. Ax Jordan before he started to pass the ball, Ax Bird and Magic. Ax Tracey McGrady who is like AI and is a good player but his teams haven't done anything.
