HIGH-FLYING EAGLES
House lawmakers want to create a special license plate commemorating the centennial anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America in 2010.
Rep. Kent Lambert projected a photo in the House chamber showing the legislature's six - count 'em! - six Eagle Scouts: Lambert, Rep. Terrance Carroll, Rep. Paul Weissmann, Rep. Larry Liston, Sen. John Morse and Sen. David Schultheis.
"This is a definite rogues' gallery," Lambert joked, comparing the image to a post office wanted poster.
WHAT THEY SAID

House Minority Leader Mike May, warning lawmakers about a state high court ruling reinstating a ban on free lunches and other gifts from lobbyists
"Kind of like the kosher rules for us Jews."
Rep. Joel Judd, D-Denver, joked
NO SPITBALLS PLEASE
"I can't read the initials on who gave us these. I'm just curious because I think whoever did thinks we're a lot more mature than we are."
Rep. Alice Madden, D-Boulder, wondering who left paper airplanes on legislators' desks
