Qwest Communications has named Stephanie Comfort executive vice president of corporate strategy. The move is a promotion for Comfort, who was tapped by Qwest Chairman and CEO Edward Mueller to lead the firm's strategic planning last September.
"We've come to rely on her sound judgment backed by her deep financial background and an understanding of the company's place in the lives of our customers," Mueller said in a statement.
Comfort joined Qwest in 2002 to lead the company's investor relations program.
