At $3.002 a gallon, Colorado's average gasoline price Thursday was the 10th-cheapest in the nation.
That's relatively good news, since this is the first time that Colorado's average gas price in February has climbed over $3, according to AAA Colorado spokesman Eric Escudero.
"Normally, we don't see prices near $3 a gallon until May when people start traveling," Escudero said. "Colorado motorists are paying 76 (cents) more per gallon today for regular unleaded than they were a year ago."
