The hundreds of Adam Aircraft workers who were laid off in recent weeks as the carrier spiraled into Chapter 7 bankruptcy have the opportunity to receive advice on how to transition into new jobs and cope with the unemployment process.
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment will hold a workshop for former Adam Aircraft employees at the Clarion Hotel, 7770 S. Peoria St. One session will run from 9 to 11 a.m. and another from 1 to 3 p.m.
Arapahoe County-based Adam Aircraft closed its doors earlier this month and filed for bankruptcy after it failed to raise capital to continue operating.
The company's demise led to nearly 700 layoffs in Colorado.
The company sold a piston- driven airplane and was developing a new type of light jet.
Friday's workshops will guide workers through the process of obtaining unemployment benefits and training assistance, applying for other jobs and managing their finances, according to a release issued by the department.
Reservations are not required.
