The cold and damp weather Thursday night was the perfect reminder of the conditions that many of the homeless must endure on a day to day basis.
"There is no good time to be homeless," said Denver mayor John Hickenlooper.
Hickenlooper spoke to more than 80 people gathered in front of the City and County Building for a candlelight vigil to remember the homeless who have died this year.
It is the twelfth year for the vigil organized by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. This year, 164 names were read - a 37 percent increase from 2007 - and audience members shouted out the names of three other people.

"There is no good time to be homeless"
No mention by Hick or RMN that our Democrat controlled state decided to cut homeless funding yesterday.
We'll hold vigils so as not to appear completely without compassion.
Impeach Hickenlooper and Ritter.

squeakywheel: You can't impeach somebody for being bad at their job, they need break laws. Which laws did Hick or Ritter break? Don't like the current laws about funding for the homeless, get to work. Plenty of people have changed laws by doing an one person lobbying. Have you even contact your rep about these laws? If not don't complain, do something real.
