INVESCO FIELD -- Local school clubs and other nonprofit groups volunteering at Invesco Field concession will score a sorely needed windfall as 75,000 Democrats chow down during Barack Obama’s big night.

As with all Invesco events, concessions are operated by community nonprofits and the proceeds pay for a variety of school and charitable programs.

About 275 students from George Washington High School in Denver and their parents and teachers are volunteering at food concessions to help fund the school's sports team, band and student newspaper clubs.

Students will raise $75 each, plus a percentage of concession sales, said Deb Roads, president of the school parents group, who orchestrated the volunteer effort.

“The kids are here to witness history,” Roads said. “But they’re also making money for their extracurricular clubs.”

Oh my god!!!!! Socialism!!!!!!! Can't these kids go get a job and pay for their own needs. We can't help these kids. Now once they become billionaires in the oil business they can come talk to us. In the mean time go fend for yourselves.
