The Rapids will be short-handed because of injuries suffered last week by midfielders Pablo Mastroeni (strained hamstring), Greg Dalby (ankle), Terry Cooke (hamstring tendinitis) and Mehdi Ballouchy (concussion). . . . The Rapids also likely will be without defender Ugo Ihemelu, expected to miss his third game because of the lingering effects of a concussion. . . . The Rapids have won two of their past nine games (2-6-1) and have lost seven of eight road games, including six in a row. . . . Real Salt Lake has surrendered seven goals while losing its past two games.
