Michael Clayton, a immigration demonstrator is forced off the sidewalk on 14th Ave, by a fence around most of Civic Center Park. The fence, for the Taste of Colorado running this weekend, went up overnight.
CIVIC CENTER Tension over a fence that went up overnight around Civic Center seems to be dissipating this morning.
Glenn Spagnuolo, an organizer with Re-create 68, said the group had agreed to allow a Taste of Colorado to put up fencing around some of their tents. But it was surprise to wake up and find a big portion of the park fenced off, Spagnuolo said.
“The Taste of Colorado went a little overboard with their fencing this morning,” Spagnuolo said.
Spagnuolo said he was able to negotiate with the event’s organizers to move the fence back on the west side of the park, where Re-create 68 is serving food to volunteers. Spagnuolo said he was trying his hardest to avoid confrontation with A Taste of Colorado organizers.
Re-create 68 had obtained a permit to use Civic Park today.

"Wake up?"
Protesters don't go to bed. I suppose next they're going to sell on the street little flags with peace signs on them, or commemorative pens with the message, "I protested in Denver 2008."
Aside from the fact that no one in this group can throw a blue paint balloon, Glenn Spagnuolo--the leader--is sleepy. Oy!

The real reason they fenced it off is because they want the aliens to have a safe place to land.

Message to Glenn Spagnuolo - It's not all ABOUT YOU dude nor your hordes! Taste of Colorado has been here in Denver a lot longer than Recreate68, and does more to help people and non-profits here than you and yours.
Hey here's an idea, maybe put some of your folks to staffing a booth there this weekend and you can raise money to cover your legal costs. Then your pathetics can't plead poverty when they can't post bail.

Spagnuolo has lost all respect. He's joined George Bush in the ranks of drugstore cowboys. "Hey bartender, gimme a sodie pop."
