Denver’s Mile High Station was the site of white stretch limousines, spotlights and movers and shakers at Tuesday night’s Impact Film Festival/MySpace/SAG bash, when more than 600 people packed the two-level thumping ground to move and groove to Nelly, the 30-year-old sexy rap artist with six-pack abdominals.
The rapper, who performed until nearly 2 a.m., drew a few notable celebrities, including Charlize Theron and a bleached-blond Cyndi Lauper, both of whom jived upstairs in the VIP balcony and CSI’s Jorja Fox, who looked skinnier than a straw and was smoking up a storm on the well-populated back patio.
For Nelly’s part, I wonder if the rapper realized why he was in town. “What’s going on, Denver?” he repeatedly shouted between songs.
