TEMPLE BUELL THEATRE — If you're at the Etown concert tonight, you're gonna be a star. Sort of.
Director Barry Levinson ("Diner," "Wag the Dog," "Donnie Brasco") is here with a film crew as part of a documentary he's working on. It's about the relationship between rock singers, music and politics in this era where the cries of "Shut up and sing!" have been drowned out by protest music from across the musical spectrum.
Signs on all the doors warn that by entering the theatre tonight to see James Taylor, Graham Nash, Tom Morello and more you give your consent to be filmed.
Levinson is working particularly closely with Nash and David Crosby — no surprise, given that their commitment to protest music goes back to their very earliest work. No working title nor estimated release date is available as yet.
