CIVIC CENTER PARK — Nearly 24 hours after nearly 100 anarchist protesters were arrested following a clash with riot police, Civic Center was calm this evening.
Several hundred people had gathered in the park to listen to hip-hop artists play and activists read poetry.
Some of those who clashed with police Monday were spotted at tonight's gathering, but most of them seemed to be wandering through and not stopping to organize.

Had Europe sent this group of "anarchists" instead of those tough, determined b*stards, we'd still be eating venison, buffalo and drinking cool spring water. They need a protest mentor?
Don't make me come up there.
