Broncos cut WR Jacobs, move Powell off roster

ENGLEWOOD The Broncos on Tuesday reached the NFL-mandated 75-player roster by releasing wide receiver Taylor Jacobs and placed defensive tackle Carlton Powell on their reserve/physically unable to perform list.
Jacobs played in six games for the Broncos in 2007 after signing s a free agent on Nov. 6.
Powell injured right Achilles tendon during the Broncos’ offseason conditioning program in July. He was drafted by Denver in the fifth round (148th overall) in April from Virginia Tech.
