Illinois delegates are getting a rousing welcome this morning and a call to unify.
Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley opened the morning session. "I feel like a kid" he said. "You can feel the enthusiasm in this room."
U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky appealed to Sen. Hillary Clinton supporters. "I offer you two words: Supreme Court. There are so many reasons organized labor, women and ordinary Americans need to choose Barack."
Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius told the delegates, "I have a little bit of Democrat envy. You have incredible democratic legislators, governors, senators and now you're going to have a democratic president!"
