CIVIC CENTER – In contrast to the oratory eloquence emanating from the Capitol steps, there was a quiet protest going on in a circle of seated figures on the lawn at Civic Center on Sunday.
The group worked slowly through meditative exercises of Falun Dafa, sitting cross-legged with eyes closed as they held their hands to their sides like wings or raised a flat hand up beneath their chins.
The only sign of their protest were their yellow shirts, which proclaimed “I support Falun Gong.”
At a nearby tent, Carol Ferguson of Denver was handing out brochures on Falun Dafa and criticizing the Chinese government for its persecution of Falun Gong.
“What we want to do is let people know the truth of what’s going on in China,” she said.
People can talk to the practitioners and see the meditative practice is peaceful, she said.
“It’s all based on truthfulness, compassion and tolerance,” she said. “How can that be bad?”

So who is unaware of what depths of the human exploitation, corruption and duplicity going on in China? After the Olympics & the chinese way of cheating (underage contestants) has been publicized, is there any question that they do not play by the same rules. And , for one, don't care if the rest of the world likes Western rules and values.
