DENVER CITY AND COUNTY BUILDING - Convention protest groups held a news conference Saturday evening to share their demonstration schedule and plans with media.

Hoisting signs such as "Iraq: Get Out, Iran: Stay Out, Bush/Cheney: Drive Out" and "The world can't wait, drive out the Bush regime," the protesters didn't all match in point of view, but they all seem to agree that they plan to stand united in their protesting efforts during the convention.

Protest leaders said the groups will move together in the parade route by the Pepsi Center on Sunday.

Many groups got started with their efforts today. Several protesters with Recreate 68 began training today in human rights and self defense. And about 70 members of The World Can't Wait protest group held a protest outside of a Planned Parenthood.

Mark Cohen with Re-create 68 reaffirmed that the protesters are planning peaceful demonstrations.

"We have established a good relationship with Denver Police. They want to keep things peaceful and so do we," Cohen said.

Two dozen supporters, media and a documentary crew were at the news conference.

These R68 people talk out of both sides of their mouth. I wish they'd just STFU already.

The people have the right to "peaceably assemble." R68 has no interest in a peaceful assembly they want a violent protest. They are basically thugs who are itching for a chance to smash windows and "groove on the rubble."

The only ones inciting violence are conservatives, fans of Rush Limbaugh and Mike Rosen. Their divine inspiration comes from their hallowed Saint Timothy McVeigh who bravely sacrificed himself blowing up a federal building in Oklahoma City including a day care center full of vicious liberal toddlers. After the cops grabbed him and before he earned his needle, Saint Tim called them "collateral damage".

Brave, brave Saint Tim! Brave enough to blow up the building and the kids, not brave enough to stick around like some wild-eyed Islamic terrorist shouting "Allahu Akhbar!". He ran like the dickens.

Isn't it amazing what you can justify when you're frightened by so much stuff? Conservatives are trained to hate new ideas, which is why they stick to the old ones that don't work. Conservatives can't tolerate different opinions, which is why their leaders like Bush surround themselves with yes-men. Conservatives don't understand 1st Amendment rights to freely assemble and express opinions.

All those people voicing dissatisfaction with the miserable failures of conservatism's poster boy, George W. Bush, and his policies just scare the living be-Jesus out your typical conservative. They just can't cope with it.

This is why they're trying so desperately to sell their fear of ordinary Americans doing extraordinary things to everyone who's dumb enough to swallow their hogwash. Nothing would please them more than violence because conservatism dwells on fear.

Anyone planning violence would not share their agenda. Now if it was abortion protesters it would be "the will of god". What a bunch of hypocrites. They have just as much right as anyone to voice their opinion as anyone else. Its' called fredom of speech, get it?

In the thick of it all, cointelpro style operatives will incite violence. It is up to R68 activists to weed out the unknown oddballs who infiltrated the protester's ranks.

Anyone too eager to break anything, or insult the cops is a likely employee of the FBI or other agency out to discredit the R68 group.
