Two national Republican heavyweights, Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, will speak on behalf of their party and the McCain campaign during the critical days of the Democratic National Convention.
Kyl will spend two days in Denver, arriving next Wednesday, in time to listen to the Democratic vice presidential candidate's speech and offer the GOP response, a spokesman said Tuesday.
He'll team up with Pawlenty and also remain visible for Obama's acceptance speech the next night.
Democratic luminaries will return the favor a week later at the Republican National Convention in Minnesota.
