Hi-Plains: The Patriots want to make up for a big semifinal collapse, and with a majority of their core players back, they look primed to win the title.
Eads: Despite losing a talented senior class, the defending state champs return 13 players and should be in contention again.
Kit Carson: The Wildcats have solid talent on both sides of the ball and have the potential to play deep into November.
Briggsdale: After surprising some teams last season, the Falcons, with a strong returning core, will try to get past the first round of the playoffs.
Woodlin: The Mustangs are solid, and with 12 players returning, they're poised to make a run at their first title since 1974.
