A Jefferson County teachers's aide who tried to solicit sex over the Internet from someone posing as an underage girl has been sentenced to three years of intense supervised probation, but will avoid jail time.
Frank Pierce, 31, was a teacher's aide at an elementary school and also coached girl's basketball in a recreation league, according to the Jefferson County District Attorney's office.
His sentence, handed down today, includes three years Sex Offender Intensive Supervision Probation. He'll also be required to register as a sex offender.
DA investigators arrested Pierce last November after they recorded him using sexually explicit language online to someone he believes was an underage teen.
He actually was chatting to an undercover investigator.
He used graphic language in describing what he wanted to do with the person he thought was an underage teen, said Pam Russell, spokeswoman for the Jeffco DA. And he suggested a meeting for the purpose of having sex.
In May, Pierce pleaded guilty to one count of Intent Luring of a Child, a felony.

If this guy gets probation, then wouldn't it make since that those who commit crimes which only hurt themselves get less (ex. drug adicts, prostitutes and gamblers).

Maybe a little time behind bars with some of the other sexual perverts would correct his behavior.
He needed to go to jail so he could learn the true meaning of crime and punishment.
I could not believe this piece of scum wil be walking around free to solict another child online.
He throws his whole future down the toilet I wonder if his parents are disgusted by his behavior.

O.K. Which prostitute in the DA's office cut this deal and which pimp (judge) let this go through? This POS should be doing "hard" ;-) time for a few years down in Canon City. Oh, I forgot, this ignorant non-lawyer (me) cannot comprehend the "greatness" of the law racket in this country.
