When Barack Obama delivers his acceptance speech Aug. 28, it will be just another hungry, thirsty crowd filling up Invesco Field at Mile High - if you ask the folks at Centerplate. The company has been providing food and beverages at Invesco since it opened in 2001, as well as at the Colorado Convention Center and Denver Performing Arts Complex. OK, so maybe this time it's a little bit different. "There will be no alcohol sold," said Stephanie Amador, catering sales manager at Centerplate.
* Types of food expected: Barbecue, Mexican and sushi, as well as hot dogs and hamburgers
* Employees working: 1,300 on site
* Food stands: 100
