The original goal for volunteers was 10,000.
Of the nearly 21,000 people who have signed up, roughly 13,000, or 62 percent, are from Colorado. About 8,000 are from the Denver area.
About 7,800, or 37 percent, are from out of state.
Languages: Of the applicants, 71 different languages are spoken, including Navajo, Farsi and Mongolian.
Gender: 75 percent, female; 25 percent, male.
Average age: 42, with the oldest born March 14, 1920.
