For the record, Gov. Bill Ritter said Monday he is not a candidate to be the running mate of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
Rumors have swirled around the first-term governor since a Washington Post columnist wrote Friday that the former Denver district attorney would be a good choice to pair with Obama.
Ritter said Monday on the Mike Rosen show on KOA-AM that he has not heard anything from Obama and, therefore, does not believe he is under consideration. He also said that with only 18 months as governor under his belt, he doesn't think he has enough experience for the office.
"I think Barack Obama will make a good choice for his vice presidential candidate, and it's not going to be me," he said.
Asked who would make a good choice, Ritter first listed Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, a rumored leading candidate who, like himself, is considered a moderate governor in a swing state. He also tossed out the names of Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden and Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

He doesn't want to extend his policies on more labor unions, more regulation, more taxes and less private investment to all Americans?

They left out the best part of the Rosen show. The part where a caller asked...
“Governor, you said 18 months’ experience wasn’t enough experience as governor to be the vice president. Would you want to contrast that with the 143 days’ experience Obama as senator before he decided he had enough experience to be president.”
Of course, Ritter didn't have an answer.

As I stated before in an earlier article. The V.P. does nothing. Ritter is a perfect candidate for the job. Please take him Obama. I wish the press would stop reporting this. It gets my hopes all up and really feel let down.

WOW!
That Wadhams story sure disappeared from these pages fast! And no mention of Shaffer's son's unfortunate web entry about slavery.

Ritter was actually in the VP list. He was just after Tom Tancredo and just before Cynthia McKinney. BHO keeps his options open.
