BRAIN GAME
University of Colorado student Than Hedman, 19, of Denver, will be among 15 college students from across the country competing in the two-week 2008 Jeopardy! College Championship, beginning at 6 p.m. Monday on Denver's 7. The winner will take home a grand prize of $100,000, but no student goes home empty-handed: The second- place contestant is guaranteed a minimum of $50,000; third place, $25,000; and semifinalists, $10,000. Players eliminated in the first week receive $5,000.
ON THE AIR AGAIN
2-plus years away from television has ended for Aaron BrownDOWN , the former CNN anchor who quit cable TV because it was an awkward fit. He is joining PBS' Wide Angle, a weekly public affairs series with a global focus. Brown says it offers the chance "to work in an environment where people just think about making good TV and good journalism."
