Microsoft Corp. has been named the official provider of software and Web content for the 2008 Democratic National Convention, August 25-28 in Denver. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
“Microsoft’s standing as an industry leader in software development makes them an ideal partner for the DNCC,” said Leah Daughtry, chief executive officer of the Democratic National Convention Committee.
Microsoft will provide nearly a dozen technologies and applications including the glitzy Surface, a table-top computer that enables users to have a variety of other interactive experiences.
Microsoft’s Zune portable music players also will be used to deliver media content to convention participants.
