Awards go to Pasquarelli, Everett, Holmgren, Favre

The Pro Football Writers of America, which includes a Denver chapter, announced its season awards during the draft weekend.
ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli was given the organization's McCann Award for distinguished service. Pasquarelli, as part of the award, would take part in the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies in Canton, Ohio, this August.
Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett, who suffered a spinal fracture against the Broncos this past season, was given the Halas Award, which is given to the individual who overcomes adversity.
Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren was given the Horri gan Award, which goes to the person, other than a player, who helped the media best do their jobs this past season, while the Seahawks' media relations staff was given the Rozelle Award to honor one of the league's media relations staffs for its work in the previous season.
Packers quarterback Brett Favre, who announced his retirement this past March, was given the Good Guy Award, to honor the player who helped the media best do their jobs.
