Thanks for carrying the good news recently about the completion of the C470 beltway. It is certainly past due to be built.
a.. I live in Arvada.
b.. I play bumper tag every day with semis and construction trucks who make their way through our city just as a pathway to get north to Boulder or Broomfield Counties...or south to C470.
c.. I drive the gridlock that has now become the norm on Highway 93, and know full well that most of that traffic is coming off of I70 and trying to make their way north and east to I25 and avoiding the congestion of the Denver Metro area...and NOT going to Boulder.
d.. I have an appreciation for the environment and know full well that the best way to respect and protect that environment is to plan well for growth that is inevitable...rather than stick our heads in the sand hope the development goes away.
e.. I know that this freeway corridor is needed to encourage responsible growth.
f.. I know that this portion of the beltway can be extraordinarily environmentally friendly.
g.. I know that the cities that border the potential C470 beltway through Jefferson County do not have the funds to build it, but need it.
h.. I know that CDOT has walked away from this project ONLY because the State of Colorado does not have the funds to build it and supports its construction.
i.. I know that Jefferson County as a whole supports the construction of the Jefferson Beltway.
j.. I know that the growth plans for our state, our counties, and our municipalities have always planned for the completion of this beltway, even Golden did before they changed their plan in midstream.
k.. I know that there is no Federal money to pay for this much needed, much planned for project.
I think the plan described in your article is a credible way to pay for this much needed beltway completion. Let’s get going and build it. The longer we wait the more it will be needed and the more it will cost.

You forgot one point!!
l. Say good-bye to the once pleasant, friendly small town of Golden. The California immigrates started the death row now the beltway should just about finish it off. Really Sad!
