Clear Skies Solar Inc., a solar- energy products company based in New York, has opened an office in Golden and plans to hire four people to staff it.
"Large portions of the Southwest remain a relatively untouched market that offers tremendous potential for solar-energy providers," said Clear Skies Solar CEO Ezra Green. "Coupled with the record-high energy prices and increased calls for environmental responsibility, we expect to see explosive growth of photovoltaic-produced electricity in the region."
Systems engineer Scott Davies will oversee engineering operations in the Golden office. The company also has an office in Los Angeles.
