It's Obama vs. space alien guy at DNC

When thousands of reporters descend on Denver for the Democratic National Convention next month, Sen. Barack Obama will have to compete against space aliens for some of the attention.

Jeff Peckman, who is proposing the creation of an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in the Mile High City, is planning a news conference during the DNC to talk about space aliens and the "technologies that they appear willing to offer," Peckman said today.

"Having so many foreign media here I think will be a good lesson for the American media about how seriously this subject can be treated and how serious of a subject it is," he said.

Peckman, who is now targeting the ET initiative for the May 2009 ballot, said he's not trying to extend his 15 minutes of fame.

"I'm well into 30 minutes of fame by now," joked Peckman, who has appeared on such shows as Larry King Live and the Late Show with David Letterman to talk about space aliens.

Peckman said he didn't seek the media attention, but that it found him when the Rocky Mountain News broke the story about his ET initiative.

"Fame has noting to do with it," he said. "I don't get money doing these interviews, but I get a lot of satisfaction when I see people who have been denied the truth finally given information that reveals the truth."

Last night, Peckman attended a gathering on the Auraria campus, which was attended by more than 400 people, in which the founder of The Disclosure Project asserted that the government has been concealing clean energy technologies used by UFOs.

"Every time I fill up my gas tank, I get more determined to get this ballot initiative so that everybody, at least in Denver, can start finding out about how much we've been denied the benefits of clean energy and more affordable energy technologies," Peckman said.

Even though the ET initiative is on hold, Peckman said he will continue to gather signatures to place it on the ballot.

"We will hold a press conference at some point during the Democratic National Convention with or without having all the signatures collected by then because we still legally have up through about Nov. 17 to collect the signatures even for the May 2009 ballot," he said.

Peckman said delaying the initiative until next year has been a blessing in disguise.

With the presidential race and so many other initiatives on the ballot, his proposal may not have gotten the attention it deserves, he said. Also, the delay gives him more time to conduct a voter education campaign, he said.

"The information is so vast," he said. "We just want to have a more settled environment where people can really absorb it."

It's about time! The more I have looked into the UFO phenomena the more I realize it appears to be a reality. The more I study the corporate power of oil companies and other mega controllers I'm shocked at what they are allowed to get away with. I guess as long as PACs, unions, lobbyists and associations fund our ridiculously expensive campaigns that is who officials answer to. It's time for someone in our country to stand up and say WE WANT THE TRUTH!

If those we have elected find it inconvenient, uncomfortable or scary to address these matters then we need better leaders. Maybe Mr. Peckman and others like him have the integrity and grit it takes to be our replacement leaders. Since our elected representatives don’t have the integrity or courage to address the largest of matters faced by our citizens thank God for the Davids (Jeffs) that stand up to the goliaths.

I want real leadership in our country and I want the truth. I hope our system isn't so corrupted and broken good leaders can't get through the process to be elected any more. It angers me to see what does and doesn’t make it onto our legislator’s agendas. Maybe it’s time to integrate blacks, whites and GREY’s into our culture : )

The myth that we are alone in the galaxy, that we've never been visited, and that the millions of UFO observers, thousands of abductees, and hundreds of ex-government witnesses are all somehow 'deluded' is a very dangerous 'con job' that could have catastrophic reprecussions in the end.

Ultimately, those participating in the coverup will face justice for 'Crimes Against Humanity', by an angry public, when it inevitably comes out how our Science, Religion, History, and Politics have all been corrupted for centuries (and, particularly since World War II) to maintain this myth. Human spirituality, sovereignty, and uniqueness are in no way diminished or compromised by the presence of other intelligent species in the nearby cosmos; indeed, we are enriched to become part of a larger community, and should take comfort in the certainty that We Are NOT Alone.

There is a psychological dysfunction in those who deny the UFO reality. In the face of overwhealming evidence, many simply refuse to accept that ET exists, because their worldview is constructed on phony scientific or religious dogma which the larger reality renders invalid. The more enlightened among us have learned to continuously Question Reality; you dont have to inquire too deeply to realize that the simple everyday 'world that has been pulled over our eyes' is just a thin veneer - a sham, and that much more exists around us and around our planet.

Ideally, the citizenry's quest for UFOtruth -- just as, say, the quest for proper/adequate environmental stewardship -- should be a non-partisan enterprise, fueled by the public's right-to-know and the government's duty-to-tell.

A simple-enough concept on paper, of course; but not so simple in practice because of the factor of willful ignorance/fear/disdain fueled by government insiders committed to sustaining the UFOlogical status quo.

Pioneers like Jeff Peckman offer us new tools, approaches, ideas, and -- above all -- the courage and passion to help us reclaim sound government in the people's interest.

Hop onto the UFO-E.T.-disclosure wagon, folks. You'll be getting a ride (with a front-row seat) you'll never forget. Start by adding your signatures to the Earth People's Petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/etaffai... !
