Meet your new 'Brother'
The Rocky
Published November 27, 2007 at 3:24 p.m.
CBS already has an answer to the writers strike: more Big Brother. The network is cranking up its perennial summer staple for a winter run to help fill the holes left by writerless dramas and sitcoms.
The suits are pushing for the ninth season to start in late January, so they need willing participants pronto. So here's your chance to be locked in a house with a bunch of camera-loving glory-seekers lacking social skills. The producers will be at FlatIron Crossing from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 to interview prospective housemates.
To prep for this chance at $500,000, check out the details on how to apply at cbs.com.
It's not exactly a standard job application.
In addition to requesting your bra, underwear and swimsuit size, the questionnaire asks 71 questions that start with the basics (education, work experience) and works its way to the psychological ("Describe your relationship with your father").
Our Top 10 questions from the Big Brother application:
'Celebrity' sayings
"They were all begging to be on the show."
Donald Trump, who said he and producers had to choose from among 125 applicants who wanted to be on the upcoming Celebrity Apprentice
"I did it for redemp- tion."
Omarosa - who was the poster child for irascible reality villains during the show's first season in 2004 - on why she agreed to be on Celebrity Apprentice
"I'm in the Gene Simmons business."
Gene Simmons, who has his own reality show, on why he wanted to be one of the 14 contestants on Celebrity Apprentice. Other cast members include country music star Trace Adkins, Olympic gymnastics gold medalist Nadia Comaneci, Playboy Playmate of the Year Tiffany Fallon, Olympic softball gold medalist Jennie Finch, heavyweight boxing champ Lennox Lewis, America's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan and Ultimate Fighting champion Tito Ortiz.
Can they keep dancing?
If CBS can find enough people to stay stuck inside a house, can't ABC talk a few more celebrities into hoofing for a few months? Dancing With the Stars was once again a huge hit this fall. A look at the most recent numbers - and the ratings of other reality jugernauts - at a time when the networks need all the help they can get:
21.8 million viewers for Dancing With the Stars' Monday performance show this month, making it the top-rated program in the country
17.6 million viewers for Dancing With the Stars' Tuesday results show, good enough for fourth place
14.7 million viewers for Survivor: China, the nation's ninth-most-watched program
11.9 million viewers for The Amazing Race 12 - good enough for the 19th spot
10 Do you have any body art (piercings, tattoos, etc.)? If so, please describe them.

7 How do you deal with someone who intimidates you?
6 What are you most ashamed of, either now or in your past?
