Ashcroft to speak at CU tonight

Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft will be speaking about national security at the University of Colorado tonight.
Ashcroft will discuss "Freedom and Security in Post 9/11 America" at 7:30 p.m. in the Macky Auditorium.
His appearance is sponsored by the CU-Boulder Student Union's Cultural Events Board as part of its notable speaker series. The event is free to students, who can pick up tickets at the University Memorial Center. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Community members can purchase tickets for $5 at Tickets West locations or online at www.ticketswest.com. Tickets will also be available at the door for $5.
Members of Students for Peace and Justice plan to protest Ashcroft's appearance at the event.
