A Loveland middle school teacher is being held on suspicion of sexual assualt on a 16-year-old girl.
Michael Lehman Gaylor, 41, was a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Walt Clark Middle School, said Sgt. Benjamin Hurr of the Loveland Police Department.
Hurr said the girl contacted police Tuesday. Gaylor was arrested Wednesday afternoon after school.
Gaylor is in the Larimer County jail. He will make an initial appearance before a judge at 1:30 p.m. today.
The girl has never been a student at Walt Clark.
Gaylor had no previous arrest record, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
The school district sent a letter to parents explaining the situation.
