This is an entry Tiffany Johnson submitted for the YWAM newsletter a week before she was killed. Johnson was gunned down, and her boyfriend critically wounded, in an attack at YWAM early Sunday.
So what am I doing here at YWAM Denver? I am still running the hospitality department but now am also running the Thursday lunch crew and watching a wonderful little girl named Lyric twice a week. This makes things quite busy for me.
Monday nights I am working with a junior high skate board ministry run by a local church. From 6-9 I fellowship and skate with them. This has given me an awesome opportunity to lead by example, and love on them ...
Many of them come from rough families and are into drugs, cutting, branding, and hurting others. I know there is hope for them in Jesus to be men and women God has designed for them to be.
Now a little life, about three months ago I started dating a guy named Daniel Griebenow. He did his DTS with me in Jan of 06, School of Worship in the summer, and Phase 2 with me in the fall. He is one of my best friends and I am so thankful for him in my life.
What else, My dad and stepmom came out here to visit. They got to meet Dan and we went to Aspen to visit a high school friend of my dad's. This was awesome and I was so happy to show them what I was going here and where I was living.
Next, I would like to ask your forgiveness for not writing sooner. I thought things would slow down, but they haven't. Thank you especially to those who support me. Your diligence has amazed me on numerous occasions. I didn't realize how lucky I was until I heard other people's stories and saw how rare it is for supporters financially to be diligent! Thank you! I am coming to Minnesota the 19th-31st (of Decemeber). I will be staying at my grandma's in Roseville.
