Unity Party founder to run for Congress

A 33-year-old Boulder entrepreneur who helped found the Unity Party of America announced Thursday he is running for Congress in Colorado's 2nd District.
Bill Hammons is hosting a kickoff event at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lazy Dog Sports Bar and Grill in Boulder.
In other 2nd District news:
* The Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund and U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldin, D-Wis., a lesbian, endorsed Jared Polis. He is gay.
* The Colorado Education Association endorsed Joan Fitz-Gerald.
