Come to La Piazza dell’Arte on Larimer Square on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 with digital camera in hand! Capture images of Denver’s only street chalk event and you and a friend could be on your way to Italy in business class on Lufthansa and an Olympus E-420 Digital SLR Camera kit from Mike’s Camera.
Here is how it works:
Take photos of anything and everything that you find interesting at La Piazza
dell’Arte, which runs from 10am to 10pm on Saturday, June 7, and 10am to 7pm on Sunday, June 8. While here, stop by the Mike’s Camera booth with any questions on the contest or borrow a digital SLR camera. You can even upload your images for the contest and take home a free CD of the pictures that you have taken.
Beginning June 7, you can upload your top 3 images at rockymountainnews.com/lapiazza, or look for the tile on the Rocky Mountain News home page to click through to the contest page. Be sure to upload by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 15.
You will receive an email confirmation that your photos have been loaded to the site. It is now up to you to manage your campaign and get out the vote! And to give your friends an incentive (you know, the ones that you can’t take to Italy), everyone who votes will be entered to win dinner for four at Osteria Marco on Larimer Square($250 value).
Ask your friends to vote for you and your photos. Voting opens Monday, June 16 and runs through Monday, June 30 at 11:59 a.m. The photographer that wins the most votes will be awarded with a trip for two to Italy in business class on Lufthansa with four nights of hotel accommodations, and an Olympus E420 Digital SLR camera from Mike's Camera!
Winner will be announced on July 1, 2008.
