Style Matters: Fashion nuisances easily fixed

Evelinda: Sometimes it's the little things in your fashion life that are the most irritating. Thank goodness we've a found few cheap solutions to some of these pesky problems.
Judie: We are driven nuts by bra straps that hang out of summer dresses, tank tops and wide scoopnecks. That's why we were thrilled to discover Strap Tamers. Consisting of a clip to hold the bra strap and a pin which is fastened to the inside shoulder seam of a garment, Strap Tamers comfortably hold bra straps out of sight where they belong. At www.Straptamers.com ($9).
Evelinda: Everyone knows about the Gal Pal garment deodorant remover. If you don't, you should. These are pink foam pads that remove deodorant streaks on clothing. Now the Gal Pal company has Travel Gal Pal, which is a two-sided foam sponge. The gray side loosens deodorant marks, dirt, food and lint, while the pink side buffs them away. A must for every traveling lady. At www.gal-pal.com ($10).
Judie: Tired of fishing around your oversized handbag for your wallet or ringing cell phone? Here's a no-cost solution. Dig out those old cosmetic bags that you got as a gift with purchase and use them to organize your purse contents. I use one for all my glasses, another for small items like pens, and most important, I use one for my cell phone, Palm Pilot, business cards and keys.
Evelinda: If you want to be an organized fashionista using something that is not homemade, try Pursekets. These attached compartments wrap around the handbag's interior and come in different sizes. At www.purseket.com ($15-$25).
Judie: Want a simple way to keep your wardrobe fresh without buying anything new? Create a fashion notebook. When you page through fashion magazines and see a look you like, tear out that page. (Do this discreetly in doctor's offices and beauty salons.) Add these pages to your notebook. The next time you don't know what to wear, duplicate one of these looks with what you already own.
