EATING OUT HABIT HARDEST TO BREAK
When women were asked by Harris Interactive for Marshall's off-price retailers which spending habit would be hardest to break in the new year:
45% said eating out or getting takeout food.
26% said shopping for clothes.
16% said it would be hardest to give up coffee drinks.
13% named buying personal beauty products.
PUT YOUR TOYS AWAY!
Here's help for organizing all those new toys:
Board games: Stack boxes by age groups on a shelf in a communal room.
Dolls and plush: Keep stuffed toys together in an accessible box or bin. Keep them out of the crib.
Toys with many parts: Keep them in zipper-type plastic bags in one labeled bin.
Sports toys: Keep outdoor toys in a box or bag in the garage, shed or basement, away from indoor toys.
Educational toys: Keep them handy to encourage learning.
Tech gadgets: MP3 players, video-game systems and computers should be kept and used where parents can monitor downloads and see what's going on.
