  • Sports Potential Inc. (): A California-based company that provides individuals of all skill and fitness leavels with insight regarding their athletic capabilities based on an in-depth set of physical, physiological and behavioral traits and preferences.
  • Genetic Technologies Limited (): An Australian biotech company that will analyze a person's DNA to determine propensity for speed and power or endurance sporting events.
  • SPARQ Rating (): First system designed to measure sport-specific athleticism. Created to capture the key aspects of athleticism, these tests are combined and weighted in a unique proprietary formula.



    Specialized training
  • IMG Academies (): A 290-acre Sarasota, Fla., campus, owned by the International Management Group, that bills itself as the most advanced, state-of-the-art, multisport training and educational facility ever created for young athletes.
  • Velocity Sports Performance (): A training facility that concentrates on improving non-sports-specific skills — speed, power and agility. Velocity was founded in 1999, and now there are more than 60 franchises in the United States and Canada, including locations in Centennial and Evergreen.
  • Warren Witherell (): Head of Crested Butte Academy since 2004 and founder of the American winter sports academy movement with the formation of Burke Mountain Academy in Vermont in 1970.



    College recruiting services

The American Coaches Federation has endorsed five college recruiting services as being "the legitimate leaders in the industry." The five include:

  • Rush Soccer Club (): The Colorado-based soccer organization represents more than 20,000 youth players nationwide.
  • Gold Crown Foundation (): Founded in 1986 by former Nuggets coach and player Bill Hanzlik and Colorado business leader Ray Baker, this nonprofit corporation provides opportunities for Colorado boys and girls through its basketball, baseball, volleyball and golf programs.



    Youth advocates
  • National Federation of State High School Associations (): National service and administrative organization of high school athletics and fine arts programs in speech, debate and music.
  • National Alliance for Youth Sports (): America's leading advocate for positive and safe sports and activities for children.
  • Jay Coakley (): University of Colorado-Colorado Springs professor and a nationally recognized authority on youth sports.
  • Colorado High School Activities Association (): Regulates interscholastic high school competition in the state of Colorado.
  • American Coaches Federation (): A group of athletic coaches and coaches associations at all levels of amateur sports with primary emphasis placed on three main areas of athletics; high school, college and professional sports scouting; college recruiting; and scouting and sports agencies.
  • Positive Coaching Alliance (): Established at Stanford in 1998, PCA believes winning is a goal in youth sports but that there is a second, more important goal of using sports to teach life lessons through positive coaching.
