IMBIBE AND THRIVE?
10% more money is earned at jobs by men who drink compared with men who abstain, according to a new study published by the Journal of Labor Research and Reason Foundation. For women drinkers, the figure is 14 percent. Men who drink socially - visiting a bar at least once a month - bring home an additional 7 percent in pay, while female social drinkers show the same earnings as women who do not visit bars.
LEVEL 3 ON A ROLL
8% The increase of Level 3 Communications shares after heavy volume Thursday, a day after analyst James Cramer plugged the Broomfield-based company on his CNBC Mad Money show. "Level 3 will become the backbone of YouTube, and while you can't own -YouTube, you can own its spine," said Cramer, also calling Level 3 an ideal merger candidate. Level 3 stock is up 70 percent this year.
