Unique Web sites for busy women
Price: Free
Where you can get it: Available on the Internet
Business owners: Alex Hill and Suzanne Jonsen
Location: Greenwood Village
Tidbits: If a product or company is fun, fascinating and hard to find, then it's probably featured on Tell Me Girlfriend.com. "Our Web site is about saving women time and providing inspiration," said co-owner and founder Alex Hill. The site features 11 "boutiques" women can browse. Within each are a series of links with brief descriptions of unique places on the Web where women can shop.
Hill and Suzanne Jonsen each research dozens of sites. Afterward, they bring their information together, discuss why they liked the site, then take a vote. "Web sites we post have to offer something for sale on the site," said Jonsen, the other co-owner and founder. "Additionally, we base our reviews on the navigational ease of the site and uniqueness of the product."
The Web site also features a section titled "Help Me Shop For . . . " where women can ask Tell Me Girlfriend.com for help looking for a particular product. Remaining perks include signing up for the twice-weekly newsletter "Show and Tell Me" and becoming a Best Girlfriend, where women are invited to rate the sites featured and receive occasional discount offers.
