SafeHouse Denver elected board members and officers for 2006. The new members are William Donohue, Matthew Murray, Monica Denler and Kate Lively. The directors are Karen Fox, chairwoman; Walt Coughlin, past chairman; Steve Emmons, treasurer; Matt Murray, secretary; Kristi Palmer, member at large; and Susan Noble, member at large. . . . The Public Relations Society of America elected Jeffrey P. Julin, president of MGA Communications, as treasurer for 2006. . . . Martin C. VanDerSchouw has been elected to the 15-member Project Management Institute International board of directors. . . . Members of the Colorado Neurological Institute elected Dr. Edward B. Arenson to a two-year term as president of the CNI Medical Advisory board. . . . Syncroness Inc. appointed Raymond W. Cohen to its board. . . . The Alzheimer's Association, Colorado Chapter appointed two new board members for 2006, bringing the total to 22 directors. Ray Martinez and Dick Page were elected. . . . Christine Bess joined the Inner City Health Center Corporate Advisory Board. Bess also will serve as liaison to the center's board of directors. . . . Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver elected five members to its board: Jay Busch, Dan Chamberlain, Suzanne Klein, Susan Powers and Russell Wayman. . . . Julian Izbiky has been appointed affiliate board member for the Colorado Association of Business Intermediaries. . . . Colorado Credit Union appointed Chris -Pacetti chairman of the board. . . . Luminous Recycling, which delivers electronic recycling and resale solutions, elected Diane Garcia to its board during the annual shareholders meeting. . . . Ed Schans has been elected chairman for Christian Living Communities, a senior communities and services provider. Don Kitto and Cindy Lefferdink will serve as board members. . . . ULI Colorado appointed David Miles, president of Milesbrand, to its executive committee as co-chairman of the Marketing/PR Group Committee. Larry W. King, managing principal of Interior Architects, was appointed co-chairman of the Sponsorship/Fundraising Committee. . . . The Colorado Festivals and Events Association named its officers and board: president John Kerns; president-elect Mark Tucker; treasurer Cindy Hathaway; and secretary Renee Ortiz. New directors are Chris Blumke and Carol Hiller. . . . The LoDo District Inc. board of directors elected Jim Theye, owner of Kentwood City Properties, as president for a one-year term. . . . Giovanni V. Greco has been named president of The Wildlife Experience. . . . Stephanie Hernández has joined the board of directors of the Dumb Friends League. . . . The Women's Foundation of Colorado appointed Kathy Hagan Brown, Lee -Everding, Jamie Morgan and Christine Benero to the board. Ryan Hettich has joined Pinnacol Assurance's board of directors. . . . The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation has named four members to its board of directors. Each will serve three-year terms: John Caid, Don Cook, Michael Flores and Bere Neas. . . . Global Med Technologies Inc. elected Robert R. Gilmore and Thomas F. Marcinek as board members. Gilmore also will serve as audit committee chairman, and Marcinek will serve as a member of the compensation committee. . . . Debbie Wapensky Nugent and Kathleen Gilbert-Macmillan have joined the Women's Bean Project board of directors. . . . The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority's board of directors has appointed Joseph A. Garcia as its chairman. . . . Yearley Jr. has been named regional president for Toll Brothers, a builder of luxury homes. . . . Jensen has been named president and CEO of Farnsworth Group Inc. . . . Janus Capital Group Inc. appointed Thomas N. TimeCentre Inc. hired William Spencer as vice president and chief operating officer. . . . TCF Bank appointed Matthew Lamb as executive vice president, director of retail banking, and Stephanie Zelenak as senior vice president, director of operations. . . . Elise Thatcher joined Colorado Public Radio as producer for Colorado Matters. . . . The Colorado Judicial Institute has appointed Becky Updike executive director. . . . The Colorado regional office of Keller Williams Realty promoted Keith Alba to regional director and Brian Smith to the newly created position of director of development. . . . The Group Inc. announced that Andy Burnside has joined as a broker associate/partner. . . . Charlotte Olen Derstine and Ray K. Derstine have joined Fuller Towne & Country Properties West in Evergreen. Claudia Garza has joined the LoDo office of Fuller Towne & Country Properties as a broker associate along with Marla Rea. Broker associate Douglas Kerbs earned "Rookie of the Year" honors. . . . Entrust New Direction IRA Inc. hired Kathleen Hitchcock as business development director.

The Colorado Wine Industry development board announced the winners of the 2005 Restaurant Program Awards. The Briarhurst Manor took the award for Best Colorado Wine and Food Promotion for a Colorado winemaker dinner. The Red Rose Cafe of Palisade won recognition for its wine list featuring exclusively Colorado wines by the glass and the bottle. For the second year, Winfield's and Lombard's at the Double Eagle Casino in Cripple Creek won for their extensive list of Colorado wines by the bottle. . . . The Professional Chefs Association awarded top prizes to two Brown Palace Hotel & Spa chefs at the recent Colorado Restaurant Association Westex Show at Denver's Merchandise Mart. The Culinary Salons of Excellence competition was open to all domestic U.S. and international professionals. . . . Landry's Restaurants Inc. announced the opening of its 33rd Saltgrass Steak House at 19310 Cottonwood Drive in Parker. The Parker Saltgrass Steak House is the second location outside of Texas and is next to Joe's Crab Shack, also owned by Landry's . . . . The March of Dimes announced its 2006 Colorado funding for healthy mom/healthy baby initiatives.
