Marc Stutzman and Kindell Williams were promoted to associate principals. Barbara Berastegui, Angelia Cowgill and Ron Izzo were promoted to senior associates. The Seff Group PC completed an agreement with Neuman, Ranft & Co. LLC to merge its practice into The Seff Group. . . . Weyerhaeuser Co. consolidated five operating units into a single business called iLevel by Weyerhaeuser. . . . Baceline Investments LLC has acquired West State Plaza, a 93,973-square-foot retail property in Kansas City, Kan., for $4.2 million. . . . Building Material Distributors has acquired Boddington Lumber Co. of Colorado Springs. . . . MWH, a provider of environmental, engineering and construction services, acquired Liquid Earth, a consultancy firm based in Perth, Australia, that provides hydrogeologic services to mining and industrial clients. . . . Gordon, Gumeson and Associates Inc. will join its operations with Smith Seckman Reid Inc. . . . Agilent Technologies Inc. has acquired privately held SynPro Corp. . . . Gates Corp. has acquired an equity stake in CoLinx LLC. . . . Premises LLC will purchase the former Home Depot Contractor Supply building in Highlands Ranch. . . . Fastlane Productions Inc. has acquired Advanced Lighting and Engineering Inc. . . . Poudre Magazine, a lifestyle and outdoors publication, was sold to Grant Street Media LLC of Denver. . . . Denver Physical Therapy has entered a partnership with Physical Rehabilitation Network, a California-based practice management company. The five metro-area clinics will continue to operate as Denver Physical Therapy, with additional workers compensation contracts available through PRN. . . . The Small Business Administration has selected Colorado Springs defense contractor Delta Solutions & Strategies LLC as 2006 Prime Contractor of the Year for Region VIII. . . . Dazbog Coffee Co. signed a multiyear contract extension with Adrenalin Inc., the agency of record for Dazbog.

New businesses and name changes

Kelly McIntyre and Greg Shaffer recently opened Mountain Valley Management Solutions LLC to assist Colorado businesses in being more effective, efficient and productive. . . . The company is partnering with Denver's Micro Business Development, a not-for-profit organization providing services to Denver's business community. . . . American National Bank has expanded to the Boulder community and moved into a new location at 1369 Walnut St. . . . Destiny Lending LLC, a locally owned mortgage lending company, moved to 425 E. Eisenhower Way, Aurora. . . . John Sandy Productions Inc. has moved to 6841 S. Yosemite St. in Centennial. . . . Jim Demchak, co-founder of the Sandhurst Group in Dallas, has been joined by Pam McGillis and Michael Romero in establishing a Denver office. . . . US Bank will expand in downtown Denver by opening an office in LoDo at 1660 Wynkoop St. . . . Porter Place Retirement Residence announces the opening of the Elizabeth Rose Wing for Memory Care. Edward D. "Ted" White III has been appointed vice chairman of the Boettcher Foundation. . . . Ethnie Groves has joined Xcel Energy's Colorado media relations department. . . . Jenifer Madson has won a Women of Achievement Award from the Association for Women in Communications Denver Chapter. . . . Confident Living Inc. announced that Jack Culotta has been named vice president of operations. . . . CRL Associates Inc. recently expanded its staff. Roger Sherman, account executive, was hired to represent clients in the real estate and development, transportation and public policy sectors. Amy Gibson, account executive, has been hired as the primary liaison for candidates running for elected office along with establishing public and political outreach. Also joining as an account executive is Bethany Gravell, who provides a link to issues at the local, state and federal levels. Peg Ekstrand, research and communications coordinator, provides in-depth research on projects and issues. In addition, she develops and implements marketing and communications strategies.

Construction

Swinerton Builders recently added several staff members. Bob Stozek joined as a senior project manager. Jared Peterson returns to Swinerton as a project manager. Evan Young joined as an intern project engineer. He is a student at Colorado State University. Jeff Godfread joined as a senior project engineer at The Residences at Little Nell project in Aspen. Bridgette Avet transferred from Swinerton Property Services to Swinerton Builders and will serve as project assistant at the Monroe Pointe Condominiums job site in Cherry Creek. Wayne Osbourne has returned to the Colorado Division after being on loan to Swinerton Builders Northwest
