The national outcry against the Democratic National Convention Host Committee's "lean and green" food initiative is disappointing, but not surprising given the amount of misinformation propagated about what the Host Committee actually requested. Established caterers here in Denver know that the ambitious lean and green initiative is far less onerous than the international media have described.
