Are you a die-hard Colorado Rockies fan worried you might strike out in today's online scramble for World Series tickets at Coors Field?

Plan B is plotting a road trip to Boston for Wednesday night's series opener — but be prepared for sticker shock. The Red Sox already held a phone lottery for series tickets Oct. 15.

At ticketsiwant.com, this morning, the cheapest ticket for Game 1 is $825, and that's in the bleachers.

If you're willing to spring for box seats behind the dugout, it's a whopping $10,725 for one ticket. There are two tickets at this price if you want to avoid — or encourage — divorce.

At Stubhub.com, a single loge seat was going for $800. A pair of bleacher seats were offered for $958 each.

As for flying, nonstop flights to Logan International Airport from Denver are expensive.

Orbitz.com's cheapest nonstop fare was $935 on United Airlines.

But if you're willing to make a stop in Philadelphia — and get up for an early-morning departure from Denver — you can fly US Airways for $395 and arrive in Boston in the early afternoon.

Many accommodations close to the ballpark were sold out long ago, with some rooms already booked since the start of the baseball season.

But the Boston Hotel Buckminster, just under a mile from Fenway, had Wednesday night rooms available for $220 on Orbitz.com this morning.

The easiest way to get to the hotel from the airport is the shuttle van service for $15. A taxi ride will run you about $34. Fenway Park is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Or, take the subway from Logan to Fenway for two bucks each way.

Orbitz also is offering package deals for flights and hotels if you're willing to head to Boston on Tuesday and change planes in Charlotte, N.C., or another city.

The cheapest package is $442 for airfare on US Airways and with a night at the Best Western Lord Wakefield Hotel, which is 11 miles north of Logan International Airport.
