An Aurora family of six was displaced this morning when a fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to their duplex.
The American Red Cross Mile High Chapter will provide temporary housing to the family, two adults and four children, who weren't at home when the fire broke out in the basement of the duplex at 13618 E. Nevada Place.
Firefighters responding at 7:55 a.m. stopped the basement blaze from spreading to the upstairs living quarters and the adjacent duplex unit.
