Drugs may have been a contributing factor in a head-on crash over the weekend that left an Oklahoma man in critical condition and closed part of Colorado 93 for more than three hours, authorities said.
Alexander Martinez-Quintana, 20, was southbound on Colorado 93 near Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge around 3:30 p.m. Saturday when he crossed into the northbound lane, Colorado State Patrol Sgt. John Hahn said Sunday.
Martinez-Quintana's Chevrolet sedan hit a sedan driven north by Gary Beller, 34, causing Beller's vehicle to roll.
Martinez-Quintana and a passenger in Beller's car suffered serious injuries that were not life-threatening. Beller was listed in critical condition.
