NUPTIALS OR NOT?
Gerard Way, lead singer for alternative rock band My Chemical Romance, reportedly revealed real romance after Monday's Projekt Revolution concert at Coors Amphitheatre by marrying Lyn-Z, bass player for Mindless Self Indulgence, which also played at the show . . . "unless they were doing it as a joke," says gossip blog perezhilton.com, "Hollywood's Most-Hated Web site."
And mindless? Lyn-Z's group has been touted as "NYC's first industrial, jungle, rock, punk, techno freaks." That sounds pretty mindful to Extra!

THE NAME GAME
Not that long ago - well, 24 years ago - William H. McNichols Jr., ended his 14 1/2-year tenure as mayor of Denver. The old McNichols Arena was named after him.
So William H. McNichols Park, where a youth sports group's long tradition of football practice is being kicked out after neighbors' complaints, has to be named after the mayor, right?
Wrong. It's named for the former mayor's father, city auditor from 1931 to 1955.
